Conglomomart
A cartoon about the lives of four human beings, living and working in a universe of unbridled business, the world’s largest big-box store.
Besarta tells friends she’s taken advantage of the Conglomomart’s “Immigration Package” by moving into the store with her family. She and other refugees hope to be given citizenship and housing after working their obligatory service time. Besarta is intelligent, crafty, decisive, and sometimes angry.
Adam is a man in his early 30s who has signed up, along with his friend Brad, for the Conglomomart four-year service special. Adam is loyal, compassionate, empathetic, a true friend. He’s also naive, and easily manipulated. This can create conflict within the group, especially when dealing with Edwin.
Edwin is a feral victim of circumstance. Taken as part of Conglomomart’s elderly assisted living program, he and others have been ushered into an overcrowded system that abuses its abundant supply of menial workers. He will do what he needs to, to survive.
Brad is a manicly depressed social outcast and bestfriend to Adam. Growing up together, the pair enjoyed loitering more than learning. Brad signed into Conglomomart with Adam to extend his indecision on where his life is going. Brad cares deeply for his friends while trying not to show it.
